To Break the Tunnel Vision of Jealousy…

Disclaimer:

Providers have different emotional boundaries in business relationships.

Imagine a long spectrum – from low to high. On the left end, a provider will cut a client loose or refer him to a friend the moment she thinks he’s getting too attached; on the right end, a provider has enough patience walking a client through his every emotional turbulence. This spectrum is so long, that a provider on the extreme left can feel those on the other end may be having their labour abused, that’s how long the spectrum is.

This blog aims to provide insights on how to process jealousy, but, first and foremost, let me emphasise that: Continue reading “To Break the Tunnel Vision of Jealousy…”

A Thank-you Letter to the Police and Peers.

During the troubling past few weeks, the police have been extremely kind and efficient; I can’t verbalise how relieved and thankful Naomi (my assistant) and I both are… We are in a very privileged position to be operating a registered business in New South Wales, Australia with all the benefits and protection from full decriminalisation of sex work. Here in this state, if we have a local issue, our own police can deal with him, if he’s overseas, his local police would likely be keen to find him and prosecute. Either case, business operators stay under the protection of the law. Continue reading “A Thank-you Letter to the Police and Peers.”

Interview of Yuko (by SWOP)

Interview with Yuko Leong

Creativity lies at the heart of ‘Kyoto pleasure quarter retiree’, Yuko Leong, whose service is as unique as her impressive collection of kimono. Yuko engaged in an email interview with The Professional to reflect on her first year as a sex worker and to discuss the intertwining of work and culture.

  1. Can you tell us a little bit about Yuko, and how a 23 year old former Maiko trainee made the decision to move to Sydney and embark on a new career as a sex worker?

Yuko’s 1st Anniversary! To my fellow sex workers♡

July marks my 1st year as Yuko!

This industry has never stopped surprising me with kindness and acceptance since the very beginning… I’m especially thankful to the beautiful souls I met here along the way; you are some of the most genuine, level-headed, intelligent people I’ve ever had the pleasure to know – real beacons of human compassion and love.

Unlike other competitive industries, sex work demands true character. It is one of the fundamental productivities in this industry that often goes unseen/unmentioned.

Most industries generate profit from our ability to “teamwork as instructed” or straight-out become that baby cuckoo that backstabs. Sex work, at least to me, demands emotional labours of the highest quality: one’s ability to bond with people emotionally and physically, then nurture the bonds we have.

This industry introduced me to a group of people who’ve lived the darkest pages of our society, yet remained strong, gentle souls providing others with a safe space and surround them with love.

I can’t express how much I love you, and I will never forget the people reached out to help after I reported a violent client…

You’re my heroes. x

*Special thanks to Sex Workers Outreach Project in Sydney.*

The introverted girl is losing words and getting a little teary… putting the pen down for now…

Stay safe and take care…

Brief Note of Whats & Whys Vol. 2 – Shunga

Here comes my long overdue Shunga blog. My apologies for the long delay, I know I promised it ages ago… The Shunga samples in this blog are used to demonstrate concepts and may not be strictly accurate to timeline.

Shunga (’Spring Pictures’), known by many westerners as, ‘Japanese historical pornographic pictures (drawn on scrolls, papers, and woodblocks)’. I’d say that’s a fair understanding. In this blog, I hope to expand your knowledge on the whats and whys around Shunga to offer a fuller picture of Japan’s ‘historical hot sex’.

Anxieties about Hiring a Professional Sex Worker.

Recently I’ve received interests from gentlemen who have never hired a professional sex worker. Thousands of words in long emails… I’m deeply touched not only because of their words of praise and affection but also because they reached out to me with their honest and genuine concerns.

For anyone who has never met a sex worker, the very first time is always challenging. Looking at the lady’s photos, imagining her resting in your arms, her smiling eyes, her floral perfume, and the passionate night that follows… But for all of that to happen, you now need to submit your screening information and pay the deposit, which means you have to officially go through the process of “buying sex”.
